Spring Football Season

When it comes to UCM football the spring is a huge factor to having a successful fall season. This is an opportunity where the second string people who don't really get a chance to showcase their talent, get to do so. They can do this by showing the coaches how strong they are in the weight room and also by getting more opportunities for reps in spring practices. It is tradition in the Mule's football program to have a months length of hard practices leading up to what we call a spring football game. A game in which we split up the players on our team evenly and have a scrimmage inviting fans, family, and friends to come out and watch. This year we have a potential opportunity to do something that's never been done in program history. With the Covid-19 virus making such a huge impact on college football causing us not to have a fall 2020 season, we are looking to schedule an out of conference game during the spring. Peter   Having a goal allows a very clear path to where you want to end up and how to get there. Setting goals is a very important task for any person's or organization's success. As a team we have set the highest goal possible, a national championship. To reach a goal so large, we will each need to set individual goals. These are goals not only for the weight room and field but also for the classroom. We each are accountable for setting three things that we want to achieve during the upcoming season and what we want to accomplish as a student. A few other things that we are required to list is a weight that we want to reach, a time that we want to run in the 40-yard dash, a height we want to reach in the vertical jump, and a GPA we look to earn.
